That’s great news for the non-profit Adventure Cycling Association, which is promoting the “Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It.” campaign during the month of May. The goal is $50,000.
Adventure Cycling launched the fund-raiser to offset their costs associated with coordinating efforts between the states participating in the U.S. Bicycle Route System.
So far, routes in Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire, Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan and Minnesota have been designated as part of the future 50,000-mile bicycle route network. In all, 40 states are working on plans to join the bike route system.
If you donate to the “Build It. Bike It. Be a Part of It.” campaign before the end of the month, you can help Adventure Cycling secure a $2,000 matching grant from Giant Bicycles.
Also, those who donate $100 or more earn a limited editions USBRS bicycle cap from Walz Caps.
