The Denver Post 2018 Ride the Rockies — Celebrating 33 years in 2018. The bike look begins and ends in Breckenridge, with overnights in Edwards, Steamboat Springs, Grand Lake and Winter Park. Tour highlights include Fremont Pass, Tennessee Pass, State Bridge, Rabbit Ears Pass and Ute Pass. The tour will cover 418 miles and ascend 25,935 vertical feet in elevation (see website for registration details; lottery registration). Dates: June 9-15, 2018.
Colorado Classic High County — Van-supported tour presented by Adventure Cycling Association. Starts in Summit County’s Frisco, embarking on a counterclockwise loop that takes in Hot Sulphur Springs, North Park, Steamboat Springs, Rancho del Rio, Glenwood Springs, Aspen, and Leadville. Returns to Frisco by way of Fremont Pass. Dates: July 28-Aug. 7, 2018
The 2018 Bicycle Tour of Colorado — Now in its 24th year, this ride covers 400-some miles of Colorado terrain. The loop starts and ends in Leadville, with stops in Carbondale, Delta, Palisade and Glenwood Springs.. Limited to 1,500 cyclists. Dates: June 24-30, 2018
Climate Ride – Colorado — The fund-raiser bike ride explores the Western Slope to Rocky Mountain National Park. Starts at Carpenter Ranch near Hayden, CO, a private conservation ranch known for its beauty and superb bird habitat. Rolls through Steamboat Springs and the Yampa River Valley to Boulder. Dates: Aug. 25-30, 2018
Colorado Alpine Trails Relaxed — This fully supported bike tour from Silverthorne allows for a leisurely ride (32 miles a day average) through the Rockies going down to the Colorado River. Offered by the Adventure Cycling Association. Dates: Aug. 11-17, 2018
Pedal the Plains — A three-day loop bike ride that explores the flatness of eastern Colorado. Fifty to 70 miles per day, with a century option.
