League of Michigan Bicyclists is offering a series of Shoreline Bicycle Tours in 2017. See details on all the rides at the League of Michigan Bicyclists website.

Sunrise Adventure — Northeast Michigan along Lake Huron. 165 miles; 150 bicyclists. Dates: June 14-17, 2018

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Tour (MUP) – Starts at St. Igance/Mackinac Island with overnights in Newberry, Paradise, Sault Ste. Marie, Paradise and De Tour Village. Dates: July 7-14, 2018

Shoreline West Bicycle Tour – Three-day or 7-day options cover 160 or 385 miles; maximum 500 cyclists. Starts in Montague with overnights in Ludington, Frankfort, Traverse City, Charlevoix, and Harbor Springs. Dates: Aug. 4-11, 2018.

Pedal Across Lower Michigan uses scenic, paved roads ideal for beginning and intermediate cyclists; very kid friendly and ideal for families. Daily mileages range between 35 to 60 miles, with longer options for those who want the challenge. Dates: June 23-29, 2018.

Michigander Bicycle Tour — An ideal ride for mountain and hybrid bikes on rails-to-trails riding (also includes route for roadies). Check website for route. Two-day and six-day options in 2015.  Sponsored by Michigan Trails and Greenway Alliance. Dates: July 14-21, 2018.

Tour da UP A 5-day bike tour of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula starting in St. Ignace. The bike ride is a fund-raiser for Teaching Family Homes of Upper Michigan and will benefit the abused and neglected youth. The tour is fully supported with food, equipment transportation and mechanical support. Side excursions are scheduled along the route. Dates – Aug. 5-9, 2018

One Day Ride Across Michigan (ODRAM) This one-day bike ride covers 145 miles from Montague to Lake City across the mid-section of Michigan. Finishing party on the shores of Lake Huron. Benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Ride to Cure Program. Date – Aug. 1, 2018

Dick Allen Lansing to Mackinaw Bicycle Tour (DALMAC) is a two- to  five-day ride, covering up to 500 miles depending on which of the five routes riders choose. From East Lansing to (or over) the Mackinaw Bridge. Limited to about 1,900 riders. Sponsored by the Tri-County Bicycle Association. Dates: Aug. 29 – Sept. 2, 2018;  See the website for registration.

Climate Ride – Northern Michigan is a 300-mile multi-day charity bike ride. The ride rolls out from Grand Rapids to Traverse City on the Leelanau Peninsula. Country roads and bike trails. Dates: Sept. 15-18, 2018
