He talked about his latest adventure, taking his two young sons on a cross-country bicycle trip. The boys rode on a trailer-bike and a trailer, completing a 14-foot rig that Kurmaskie piloted. The tour is the subject of his latest book, "Momentum is Your Friend."

F.H. Grubb manufactured this bicycle in England in the 1930s. The company was known for lightweight racing and touring frames. Just one of about two dozen classic bicycles on display at the 2007 Seattle International Bike Expo.

One of the touring bikes getting a lot of attention at the 2007 Seattle International Bike Expo was this Co-Motion Americano, painted in tomato red. Based in Eugene, Oregon, Co-Motion primarily makes road, touring and racing bikes, as well as tandems. Many models come in a "co-pilot" style, that features frame couplings for shipping or public transit.
