Oregon Bicycle Ride CalendarJuly 2010Prairie City Bicycle Invitational -- June 27 - July 4, 2010 Nine different routes offered over a nine-day period, leaving from Prairie City. Not structured or supported in the usual sense, there is no registration or fee payment, but there also is no guarantee of support services on any route or any date. Cyclists are free to choose which route they want to ride; volunteer groups may or may not provide services for fund-raising. See the flyer at Bicycle Invitational. Northwest Tandem Rally -- July 2-5, 2010 Four days of road riding on tandem bicycles in the Rogue River Valley around Medford. Numerous supported rides. Cycle Oregon 2010 - The Weekend -- July 16-18, 2010 Two days of bicycling, 3 route options first day, 2 the next. Bike tour route takes bicyclists along the Nehalem and Columbia rivers in northwestern Oregon. Sponsored by Cycle Oregon. Tour des Chutes -- July 17, 2010 A fund-raiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation and St. Charles Cancer Center with five mileage options; 7, 25, 48, 70 and 100 miles. Starts in Bend. Ride through Paradise -- July 24, 2010 The event features four courses, 13-mile, 30-mile, 62-mile and 100-mile, through beautiful Klamath County, Oregon.Sponsored by a Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Blackberry bRamble Century -- July 31, 2010 Cyclists can choose between a full century or metric century bike ride. The route leaves Eugene, climbing slowly out of the Willamette Valley and into the Lorane Valley. Cyclists, depending on their option, can follow the Siuslaw River, Wolf and Poodle creeks. Blackberry pie at the finish. Sponsored by Greater Eugene Area Riders (GEARs). Bike MS - Explore Oregon -- July 31 and Aug. 1, 2010 The fund-raiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society returns to Slayton for bike rides of 30 to 150 miles. Visits scenic farmland, covered bridges and Regis High School.
