Epilepsy Foundation ride -- Jan. 1, 2011 A New Year's Day bike ride to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation. Options of 4, 9.5 or 24 miles. Starts at the downtown Eatonville Visitor's Center. Starts between 10 a.m. and noon; presented by Eatonville Outdoor. Stinky Spoke -- Jan. 14, 2012 The Stinky Weather Poker Run is a 16-mile ride over a mountain bike course to collect playing cards. Best hand wins. Traditionally the wettest and coldest day of the year. Benefits the Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center. Starts 9 a.m. at Red Hook Brewery, Woodinville. Transpotation Advocacy Day -- Jan. 31, 2012 Lobby your legislators to support Neighborhood Safe Speeds (SHB 1217), Safe and Flexible Street Design bill (HB 1700), and other transportation issues near and dear. Seattle Bike Swap -- Feb. 12, 2012 100 vendors offer new and used bicycle related goods for sale. 9 a.m. til 2 p.m. at Seattle Center Exhibition Hall, 225 Mercer St. Sponsored by Cascade Bicycle Club Chilly Hilly -- Feb. 26, 2012 The year's first big ride by Cascade Bicycle Club. Loops around Bainbridge Island for 33 miles. Record-breaking ride in 2011 -- see pics and story. Streets and Beets -- March 3, 2012 Formerly "Ride Hard. Grow Forth," this Seattle-area bike ride is a fund-raiser for Alleycat Acres, a local farm co-op. Starts at MLK Fame Center in Seattle and rolls down to United People's Farm in Auburn. Seattle Bike Expo -- March 10 & 11, 2012 Technically not a ride, but it's a huge event and it's all about cycling. Smith Cove Cruise Terminal 91, Seattle[consider Elliott Bay Trail (Terminal 91 bike path)]. Organized by Cascade Bicycle Club. McClinchy Mile -- March Three bicycle loops -- a hilly 27-, a flat 34-, or challenging 47-mile -- through Snohomish County that begin in Arlington; sponsored by BIKES of Everett Bike Works Auction and Dinner -- March 25, 2012 Fund-raiser for non-profit that encourages youth to learn about repairing and using bicycles.
