Loreen Miller Bicycle Ride -- June 1, 2008   Three rides -- 12, 50 and 100 -- raise funds for the Cancer Patient Care services in Spokane; see also premier ride with champion triathlete Siri Lindley on June 2, 2007

Peninsula Metric Century -- June 1, 2008  Four bicycle loops -- 29, 44, 62 or 100 miles -- in South Kitsap County; Tacoma Wheelmen

Walla Walla Wine Tour -- June 1 - 2, 2008  Two days of  bicycling to the wineries in the Walla Walla; lodging at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. Organized by Spokane Parks and Recreation, see Activity Guide (.pdf), p. 17,  for details.

WheelstoMeals -- June 7, 2008   Four bike ride options of 20, 40, 50 and 70 miles through the scenic Puyallup Valley. This is the third annual fund-raiser for  the Food Connection in Pierce County. The longer ride is a good warmup for the STP. Note: The ride this year starts at WSU's Puyallup Extension Campus, 7612 Pioneer Way East.

Apple Bike Ride Century -- June 7, 2008  Three cycling loops -- 50 to 100 miles -- between Wenatchee and Chelan; sponsored by Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary

Fort2Fort Bike Ride -- June 8, 2008  Three rides of 17, 35, or 62 miles are featured between Fort Worden, Old Fort Townsend or Fort Flagler. Starts in Port Townsend.

Flying Wheels -- June 14, 2008  Several cycling options, including century (considered tune-up for STP in July); leave from Redmond; sponsored by Cascade Bicycle Club

Chelan Century -- June 14, 2008  Vineyards, orchards, glacial lakes and mountain terrain greet riders on this 4-year-old ride. Routed by founder of California's Markleeville Death Ride. Three segments. Sponsored by Chelan Rotary.

Group Health Challenge - Goldendale -- June 14, 2008  Three options greet cyclists to this bike ride that loops around southern Washington, south of Yakima. Three options -- 34, 75 and 100 miles; the longer rides include lots of climbs. Email Goldeneventplanning@gorge.net for details.

Painted Cyclists of Fremont Solstice Parade -- June 21, 2008   Cyclists adorned in paint and a smile are a regular part of the Seattle neighborhood's Solstice parade.

Cannonball -- June 21, 2008 (3 a.m. start) Unsupported bicycle ride from Seattle to Spokane -- 275 miles -- in one day; Redmond Cycling Club

Tour de Blast -- June 21, 2008  Bicycle ride through blast zone of Mount St. Helens; 33, 67, or 82 mile options; Longview Rotary Club

Native Planet Classic -- June 21, 2008   Three bicycle routes are available around the town of Winthrop, comprising an easy 28-mile ride, a 63-mile climb up to Washington Pass or a 126-mile ultra century with 10,000 feet of elevation gain. Raises funds for a non governmental organization that supports indigenous peoples.

Yakima Valley Wine Tour -- June 20-22, 2008  Bicycle to some of the 20 wineries spread around the Yakima Valley; support vehicle and lodging in country inns. Organized by Spokane Parks and Recreation, see Activity Guide (.pdf), p. 17,  for details.

Body Pride Ride -- June 24, 2007    One ride is planned in Seattle on Sunday as part of the Pride Parade in downtown Seattle (the Saturday ride has been cancelled). More details at the group's Yahoo group website (registration required).

Mt. Adams Country Bicycle Tour and Family Fun Ride -- June 28, 2008  Four rides -- from 11 to 80 miles -- from Trout Lake, Klickitat County

Cascade 1200 -- June 28 - July 1, 2008  This highlight of North American Randonneuring routes cyclists completely around the Cascade Range, starting in Monroe northeast of Seattle, south to the Columbia River, north along the eastern foothills, and across Highway 20 at Washington and Rainy passes. Sponsored by Seattle International Randonneurs.
