Solvang Century and Half-Century — March 11, 2017 One of the nation’s premier bicycle century rides, held annually since 1983. The century is actually 104 miles long with 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The bike ride is limited to 5,500 cyclists. Two “half centures” at 50 miles and 63 miles. Check for early registration deadline. Funds raised by the ride go to heart-related charities and other nonprofits. Sponsored by the SCOR Cardiac Cyclists Club.

CicLAvia the Valley — March 26, 2017 An on-road route from Culver City to Venice will be closed to all motor vehicle traffic so bicyclists and pedestrians can enjoy the street. The free event runs from 9 to 4.
Borrego Springs Century — March Choose 30, 64 or 100 miles in southern California desert. Begins at Palm Canyon Resort in Borrego Springs.
Tour of Borrego — March Choose from either 22, 40, 62 & 80 mile paved road rides around the beautiful Borrego Springs Valley with mostly flat terrain. Newly erected metal sculptures of prehistoric animals line the route.
Soldier Ride — March A fund-raiser for the Wounded Warrior Project, the bike ride also helps restore physical and emotion strength and gives the public to ride alongside men and women who have served. Leaves from Oceanside Transit Center.
Bikes & Beers San Diego — March A 26-mile ride that stops at four breweries along the way. Starts at Mike Hess Brewing on University Avenue. Benefits Bike San Diego.
Redlands R.U.F.F. Ride — March Four distance options of 5 to 62 miles to raise money for Redlands dog park. Longer rides wind through the foothills. Presented by Redlands Unleased Fidos and Friends held in conjunction with the Redlands Bicycle Classic.
