Tour de Julian – November 5-6, 2011 Two road routes — 28 and 55 miles — begin at the Frank Lane Park in Julian. The longer route takes in Mount Laguna with a view of the Anza Borrego Desert. Bicycle John’s Holiday Benefit Ride – December Bring a new, unwrapped toy or a $15 check made out to “Palmdale Sheriff’s Booster” to ride either the metric century or 40-mile route from Bicycle John’s bike store in Acton. It’s a fund-raiser for area military families and other families in need. Sponsored by Bicycle John’s and the Palmdale Sheriff’s Department. Check the “races and rides” at the website in December.
