Green Mountain New Year’s Ride Jan. 1, 2019 Mountain bike ride leaving Green Mountain Wildcat Trailhead beginning at 8 a.m. Backcountry Horsemen will hold a Pancake Breakfast at Horse Camp to raise trail maintenance funds. Donations requested. Come early, as it’s first-come, first served.

Stinky Spoke — Feb. 9, 2019  The Stinky Spoke is a 16-mile ride over a mountain bike course in hills east of Sammamish River Trail. New tour operators in 2019 — Rotary Club of Redmond. Check website for tour details as Redhook Brewery venue has closed. Traditionally one of the wettest and coldest days of the year. (See pictures from 2010 Stinky Spoke.)

Washington Bike Summit — Feb. 11 and 12, 2019  The Summit features keynote speakers, breakout sessions, guided workshops, lunches and opportunities for networking with other cyclists.

Seattle Bike Show — Feb. 16 – 17, 2019 The two-day event will be held at Century Link Field Event Center and presented by Cascadia Events. Bike parking will be available. Saturday – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Chilly Hilly — Feb. 24, 2019 The year’s first big ride by Cascade Bicycle Club. Loops around Bainbridge Island for 33 miles. Record-breaking ride in 2011 — see pics and story.

Willy Nilly (Same Day, Different Island) — Feb. 24, 2019 Avoid crowds and registration fees on this early season ride around Vashon Island. Starts at Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle, ferry to Vashon, then choose a route around the island. No rest stops per se, but plenty of cafes, taverns, and coffee shops along the route, as well as 2 bike shops.

Mussels in the Kettle — March 2, 2019  A non-competitive mountain bike poker ride that starts in Coupeville and rolls out to Kettles Trails and Fort Ebey. Three routes of about 7, 9 and 11 miles — easy to expert. Meets at  501 South Main St Coupeville WA 98239. Presented by the Whidbey Island Bicycle Club.

Seattle Bike Swap — March 10, 2019  100 vendors offer new and used bicycle related goods for sale. 9 a.m. til 2 p.m. at Magnuson Park, Hangar 30.  Sponsored by Cascade Bicycle Club

Dandy Daffodil Tweed RideMarch 17, 2018 2019 TBA A bike ride around La Conner with a bit of style.

Bike Works Auction and Dinner (Bikecitement!) — March 24, 2019 Fund-raiser for non-profit that encourages youth to learn about repairing and using bicycles. Fisher Pavilion, Seattle Center.
