Unless you live on the West Coast, you bike racing fans might want to brush up on your VCR skills to videotape stages of the upcoming Amgen Tour of California that runs from Feb. 19-26.

The Tour has been touting prime time coverage on ESPN2. But checking with the online EPSN2 TV schedule, I see they must mean “prime time” on the West Coast.

The one-hour coverage begins at 1 a.m. Eastern Time on the day following each stage, except for Stage 2 coverage, which runs from 2 to 3 a.m. the following morning.

In other words, Sunday's Prologue in San Francisco can be seen at 1 a.m. (Eastern) on Monday, 12 a.m. (Central) Monday, 11 p.m. (Mountain) Sunday and 10 p.m. (Pacific) on Sunday.

Me, I'll  be glued to my computer to catch the results on CyclingNews or VeloNews. Are there any other alternatives?
