Northwest Tandem Rally (see Washington state) — The rally bases operations in Salem in 2012 for its 27th year. Tandem tours explore the Willamette Valley. Date: June.
Cycle the Gorge -- A fully supported bicycle tour that takes in the Columbia Gorge as well as views of the volcanic Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams. Presented by Adventure Cycling Association. Dates: June 15 – 22, 2013.
Oregon Bicycle Ride – Week-long bicycle tour loop starts in Athena with overnight stops in LaGrande, Joseph (2 night layover), Asotin, and Dayton (2-nite layover). Presented by Bicycle Rides Northwest. Dates: Aug. 3-10, 2013.
Intro to Road Touring – Oregon – Adventure Cycling Association hosts this educational course on self-sustained bicycle touring in Eugene. Opens with two days of classes, followed by four days of fully loaded touring. Dates: July 28 – Aug. 2, 2013.
Portland-Crater Lake Loop — A 466-mile bicycle tour of the mountains and valleys of Oregon to Crater Lake. Round-trip self-contained bicycle tour starts in Portland; presented by nonprofit Adventure Cycling Association. Dates: Aug. 3-17, 2013.
Tour des Trees — (see New York state for 2013 route). Fund-raiser for Tree Fund.
Oregon Coast Loop -- A fully supported bicycle tour that encompasses the scenic and wild Oregon Coast. The 310-mile Adventure Cycling Association bike tour starts in bicycle-friendly Eugene. Dates: Aug. 17-23, 2013.
Wild Coast – Central is a new ride offered by Adventure Cycling Association. The van-supported tour rolls along the Pacific Coast from Eugene, Ore., to San Francisco for 690 miles Dates: Sept. 7 – 21, 2013.
Cycle Oregon -- The bike tour visits a different part of the state every year. The host cities and route are announced at the Kickoff Party on Feb. 5, 2013. Early reservations for 2,200 spots is recommended. Dates: September 7-14, 2013.
Amgen People’s Coast Classic – The fund-raiser for the Arthritis Foundation is a 363-mile bike ride down the coast of Oregon, from Astoria to Brookings. The fully supported six-day tour is primarily camping, but participants can get other lodging information. Breakfasts and dinners also provided. Dates: Sept. 8-13, 2013.
