CA: Mr. Frog’s Wild Ride

All proceeds benefit Feeney Park, a non-profit community sports and recreational facility in Murphys, offering youth soccer and baseball fields, skate park, walking trails, picnic areas, a disc golf course, plus an amphitheater.

Wildflower-full April is a great time to get into the frontier spirit evoked by Mark Twain in his Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.

We are showing off the southwest end of our county and have included a TIME TRIAL. We are not changing the route this year because of the great feedback we had from the riders last year. Both rides will leave you hungry for that homemade BBQ at the finish in Feeney Park. All the climbing and zippy downhills will be there without the rigors of the rough roads of the first Mr. Frog ‘s Wild Rides.

The long route will include a ride to New Melones Lake and one mile of gravel in the long ride that is perfectly rideable so one can pretend briefly to be a randonneur at the Paris Roubaix. Elevation gain is 4436 ft. for the 100K and 2461 ft. for the 50K ride. Winner of the time trial will be awarded a prize at the conclusion of the ride.
