Ellensburg Manastash Metric/Half Century — October 6, 2012 Two routes through rolling terrain around Ellensburg. The 66-miler includes a steep climb that the 33-mile route avoids. Sponsored by the United Way of Kittitas County.
Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day — Oct. 6, 2012 The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is hosting the event at the Duthie Hill bike park near Issaquah. The event feature trail riding, an obstacle course and a freestyle show by local pros. Starts at 10 a.m.
Fall Colors Bike Ride — Oct. 6, 2012 Presented by the Mountains to Sound Greenway, the bike ride starts with a shuttle ride from Jubilee Farm near Carnation to Duvall. Bicyclists will ride on the Snoqualmie Valley Trail for about 11 miles, then pass through Tolt MacDonald Park and the suspension bridge to return to Jubilee Farm on local back roads. About 14 miles total.
Boneshaker Bicycle Festival – Oct. 26 & 27, 2012 The Skagit Valley town of La Conner is hosting a Halloween-inspired bicycling weekend. Features 7 mostly flat rides of 4 to 25 miles. Bike Swap & Expo, special guest speakers, live music & entertainment, Kids Parade, bike decorating, bike safety rodeo, raffles and prizes.
SnoHoBrewFest — Oct. 27, 2012 Two options of 10- or 20-mile bike rides along the Centennial Bicycle Trail. Starts at Snohomish Senior Center. Part of the Snohomish BrewFest on Oct. 26-27.

Bicycling lecture series — Nov. 13, 2012 The Cascade Bicycle Club presents Bellingham cyclist Mike McQuaide, who will talk about his book, “75 Classic Rides in Washington.” Starts at 7 p.m. at REI Seattle.
