Retirement and independence on a bicycle seat

This is what I'd call a full retirement — seeing the world and staying fit and healthy at the same time.

Roscoe and Ann Phillips used to take week-long cycling tours around the US. After retiring in 1999, they attached fenders and panniers to their bicycles and became independents, heading out on self-contained tours across the US and in different locales around the world.

Here they recount some of their adventures on a two-month bicycle tour in Canada. They covered more than 2,000 miles visitinig the Gaspe Peninsula, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
