Don't go to the Orting (WA) elementary school to register for this Sunday's Daffodil Classic bicycle ride. The registration has been moved down the street to the Orting City Park, from 7 a.m. 'til noon.
This year's ride boasts five routes: 20 miles, two different 50 milers, 70 and 100 miles. Registration is $20. Long- and short-sleeved T-shirts are available, and the first 600 riders get a free water bottle.
The ride is sponsored by the Tacoma Wheelmen. More information is available at the Daffodil Classic's website, but remember to register at the park, not the school.
There are two bike events in Oregon on Sunday. Hutch's Bicycle Shop in Bend is sponsoring the Wet n Windy 50 from Bend to Powell Butte and back; and the Northwest Cherry Festival in The Dalles is sponsoring Cherry of a Ride on Sunday.
