Cars-R-Coffins opens coffee shop for cyclists

You've probably seen the Cars-R-Coffins logo — a black coffin on four wheels with the license plate 666.

It's on T-shirts, socks, jerseys, water bottles … you name it. It's the brainchild of Hurl Everstone, 38, a bicycle advocate in Minneapolis who published a newsletter by that name.

Floyd Landis and US cycling wins Tour of California

This inaugural Amgen Tour of California is in the books now. Let's hope it forecasts great things for US cyclists this coming season.

Floyd Landis (Phonak), left, carried his 29-second lead from Wednesday's individual time trial all the way through the remaining stages to the overall win on Sunday. He's joined on the podium by David Zabriskie and Bobby Julich (both of Team CSC), who finished second and third.

The race for jerseys at Tour of California

Four jerseys. Four Americans. Although the Amgen Tour of California bike race comprises an international field of cyclists, riders from the US are in all the top positions.

Here's how the jersey competition stacks up after Stage 6, an 89-mile race from Santa Barbara to Thousand Oaks that was won by T-Mobile's Olaf Pollack.

Who says bicycle racing is dead in America without Lance Armstrong?

The crowds that have been flocking to the Amgen Tour of California, and those following the race on the internet have been treated to plenty of excitement. How about today's breakaway that included Jens Voight of Team CSC and Viatcheslav Ekimov of Discovery Channel.
