Iowa’s Ride — An inaugural ride for a cross-state bike tour originally planned for 2020 but delayed until 2021. A fully supported bike ride that crosses the state from east to west. Begins in Dubuque and ends in Rock Rapids with overnights in Montecello, Vinton, Eldora, Clarion, Emmettsburg, and
Sheldon. Registration is open; no lottery. Dates: July 18-24, 2021

The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI XLVIII) The longest running cross-state bicycle tour celebrates its 48th year in 2021. Registration to enter the RAGBRAI lottery runs to April 1, 2021. Lottery results are posted May 1. Starts in Le Mars, the Ice Cream Capital of the World, and ends in Clinton, home of the LumberKings minor league baseball team. In between, riders will stop overnight in Storm Lake, Fort Dodge, Iowa Falls, Waterloo, Anamosa and Maquoketa. . Dates: July 25-31, 2021
Ride Across Iowa This one-day Iowa crossing can either be ridden as a race or an extreme recreational bike ride. It’s 300 miles, but there’s also a 150-mile version. Council Bluffs to Muscatine. Date: 2021 TBA
