Ride Across South Dakota (RASDAK) Daily mileages range from 45 miles to 99 miles. The ride starts in Flandreau, and continues to DeSmet, Miller, Fort Pierre, Union Center, and Belle Fourche, and ends in Hulette, WY.  Many historical and cultural destinations along the way. Dates: June 2-8, 2019.

Black Hills— The bike tour visits attractions in the Black Hills, such as Mount Rushmore. Camping and motel options. Ride follows low traffic roads and Mickelson Trail. Offered by non-profit Adventure Cycling Association.  Dates: Aug. 24-30, 2019

Mickelson Trail Trek Bicycle Ride — A three-day, 108-mile supported bike ride through the Black Hills on the Mickelson rail-trail. Elevations from 3,400 to 6,350 feet. Registration opens Dec. 12, 2018. Dates: Sept. 10-22, 2019

Other rides

Tour de Corn — Three days of bicycle events in Mitchell. Pump track competition and moonlight ride on Friday, four routes of 15 to 100 miles on Saturday, and single track riding at Lake Mitchell on Sunday. Presented by Palace City Pedalers. Dates: Aug. 17-19, 2018 2019 TBA


SDGeorge S. Mickelson Trail — The Rail-trail runs through the heart of the Black Hills, connecting Deadwood with Edgemont 114 miles to the south.
