Climate Ride Death Valley National Park — March 2-7, 2019 This charitable cycling challenge explores the Death Valley, an isolated region renown for little car traffic, warm winter weather, and unparalleled desert vistas. Limited to 40 bicycle riders.
CicLAvia meets Mar Vista and Palms — March 3, 2019 Culver City, Mar Vista and Palms will host the country’s largest open streets event! Streets will be closed to cars and open for cyclists, pedestrians, runners and skaters to use as a recreational space. The free event runs from 9 to 4.
Solvang Century and Half-Century — March 9, 2019 One of the nation’s premier bicycle century rides, held annually since 1983. The century is actually 104 miles long with 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The bike ride is limited to 5,500 cyclists. Two “half centuries” at 50-to-60 miles and another about 70 miles. Check for early registration deadline. Funds raised by the ride go to heart-related charities and other nonprofits. Sponsored by the SCOR Cardiac Cyclists Club.
Joshua Tree Double Century — March 9, 2019 A 125-mile (double metric century) or 195-mile bike tour through the Joshua Tree National Monument. Leaves from 29 Palms.

Saddleback Spring Classic Gran Fondo — March 16, 2019 Five options of 1 mile to 100 miles are offered on this bike tour around Orange County. Starts at Irvine Valley College in Irvine. Raises funds for finding a cure for pediatric cancer.
Cinderella Classic — March 30, 2019 This 65-mile bike tour around Amador, Livermore and Diablo valleys touts itself as the only ride for women and girls. Sponsored by Valley Spokesmen of Dublin. Fills up early. Check website for training rides
Tour de Cure – San Diego — March 30, 2019 Four ride options of 100, 62, 29, and 7 miles leaving from the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. Fund-raiser for American Diabetes Foundation.
