Climate Ride Death Valley National Park — (Returns in March 2021) This charitable cycling challenge explores the Death Valley, an isolated region renown for little car traffic, warm winter weather, and unparalleled desert vistas. Limited to 40 bicycle riders.
Solvang Century and Half-Century — March 14, 2020 One of the nation’s premier bicycle century rides, held annually since 1983. The century is actually 104 miles long with 5,000 feet of elevation gain. The bike ride is limited to 5,500 cyclists. Two “half centuries” at 50-to-60 miles and another about 70 miles. Check for early registration deadline. Funds raised by the ride go to heart-related charities and other nonprofits. Sponsored by the SCOR Cardiac Cyclists Club.
Joshua Tree Double Century — March 14, 2020 A 125-mile (double metric century) or 195-mile bike tour through the Joshua Tree National Monument. Leaves from 29 Palms.
Saddleback Spring Classic Gran Fondo — March 21, 2020 Five options of 1 mile to 100 miles are offered on this bike tour around Orange County. Starts at Irvine Valley College in Irvine. Raises funds for finding a cure for pediatric cancer.
