A bicycle importer is recalling 1,600 Origin8 folding bicycles after receiving reports that the frames break while in use.

Miami, Fla.-based J&B Importers and the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall after receiving 13 reports of frame failures at faulty welds on he China-made bicycles.

Owners are asked to return the bicycles to the store where they were purchased for a free replacement bike.

The bikes were sold at independent bike dealers from 2012 until October 2015 for $370 to $480. The recall involves the following models and serial number ranges:
