Bicycle quote: Difference between Lance and George

“George is a nice guy, no doubt. He's learned that he can be a gentleman and still have a killer instinct. Me, I'm the opposite. I'm a jerk who has to work at being a gentleman. I've always loved to put the hurt on people.”

Lance Armstrong (in yellow, of course) talking about the difference between himself and former teammate George Hincapie (trailing Armstrong). USA Today gives Hincapie, 32, the inside track as America's next cycling hero, although another former racer, Floyd Landis has had a much better spring and catapulted into first place in the ProTour.

Hincapie competes Sunday in Paris-Roubaix, the 160-mile bike race over cobblestoned roads in northern France. Hincapie has come close, but never won the big cigar in this event (he finished second to Tom Boonen in 2005).

OLN televises Paris-Roubaix this Sunday at 6 p.m. (ET).
