Boneshaker BikeFest & Metric Century
La Conner WA.
What are you waiting for? Come join our crowd of creepy creatures on October 25th for a fun and spooky Halloween gathering. This scenic cycling event has everything a rider could want as you tour the boo-tiful Skagit Valley. Enjoy views of the countryside and hypnotic Cascade mountains as you pedal off 100 kilometers of this metric century on 3 mostly flat, fast & fun loops. The rides will start and finish in the historic waterside town of La Conner.
Bring out your alter ego and make sure to dress for the occasion. Put on a mask and show us your inner ghostie, ghoulie and long-legged beastie or anything that goes bump in the night. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
Prizes for the best inhuman costumes and best bike costumes… so be goofy, have fun! We have a trick or treat for everyone so don’t decay and register now! (Register at http://www.boneshakerbikefest.com)
Miles of Trees 2014
October 10 -13
Virginia Beach to NYC
Annual fund raising ride “Miles of Trees” for reforestation projects in Haiti
Dates for the event, riding from Virginia Beach to NYC, are Oct 10 through 13 — 4 days / 360 miles
The ride includes three overnight stops, weather permitting on campgrounds where we cook our own food, and two ferry rides (Lewes to Cape May and Atlantic Highlands to NYC).
We ask cyclists to fund raise $800 to cover expenses and to add to our tree planting fund. The early bird deadline expires on August 31. Thereafter, the cost will be $1,000. We do allow single day participation as well. Please inquire.
How do we get our rides added to the calendar?
Supporting those with cancer…biking from Key highway to Key West, FL!
I would love to add our annual benefit bike ride in Eagle, ID to the list. Info can be found at http://www.jordansride.org. Please let me know what you need or how I can submit details.
Jim Freibert here, from Chicago’s Western Suburbs, but resident of California for the longer second half of my life. Looks like your posts are slowing down and I’d love to reconnect. Think you’d be an invaluable resource for cycling friends looking at a move to the NW!
And the newest Bicycling Biz website is under construction
Is there a way to search your tours/rides list by month or date? Thanks! Great site. :)
I’m afraid I haven’t created a calendar list for rides in the database. I’m open to suggestions though. And thanks!
