July 2-6, 2020 Cancelled due to Covid-19; returns in 2021 Four days of road riding on tandem bicycles. Moves around the Pacific NW every year; based in Cheney, WA, in 2020 Numerous supported rides.
Tour des Chutes — Virtual event on July 11, 2020; see website A fund-raiser for the St. Charles Cancer Center Survivorship Programs and LiveStrong with five mileage options; 7, 25, 50, 70 and 100 miles. Starts in Bend; caps at 1,500 riders..
Gorge Pedal –
– July 18, 2020 Cancelled due to Covid-19 Features two routes and full lunch celebration post ride. Family Ride is from Cascade Locks to Bonneville Power, clocking in at 11 miles and 250 feet of climbing. Metric Century ride is from Cascade Locks to Women’s Forum and the back through Cascade Locks, continues to the new section Wyeth Lindsey Creek Trail of the Historic Columbia River Highway with a total of over 4000 ft. of climbing. Great Food and Fun Information Sites included especially for introducing your kids to the Gorge. Summertime lunch at end of rides. Music, art, on the Mighty Columbia River.
Oregon Ride to Defeat ALS – July 18-19, 2020 Bicyclists can chose 25-, 50, or 100-mile options for this fund-raiser charity ride that starts in Mt. Angel, south of Portland. Benefits efforts to fight Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Oregon CF Cycle for Life – July 18, 2020 The fully supported charity bike ride features distance options of 35 or 65 miles. Benefits the efforts to cure Cystic Fibrosis. Starts at Lady Hill Winery in St. Paul .
Up & Down — Cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic The bike ride offers two options beginning at Emigrant Lake near Ashland in southeastern Oregon. The 49-mile route follows the Cascade Siskiyou Scenic Bikeway with 4,900 feet of elevation gain. A 96-mile route has 7.800 feet of climbing. Benefits the Bear Creek Greenway in 2018.
High Cascades 100 — July 18, 2020 (check closer to date; may postpone to Sept. 19, 2020 A 100-mile endurance mountain bike race that starts in Bend.
Oregon Bicycle Ride —
July 22-29, 2019 Cancelled for 2020 due to Covid-19 Seven days of cycling with options for 470 to 500 miles. Routes in eastern Oregon in 2018. Multiple days in some locations.
Oregon Gran Fondo – July 25, 2020 This bike ride features 117-mile Gran, or 71-mile Medio routes and 40-mile Picollo all starting from downtown Cottage Grove. Depending on the route, the event has 2,000 to 8,000 feet of climbing. Part of the Oregon Triple Crown.
Tour de Cure — Virtual event July 25, 2020; see website Options of 5-10-mile Family Ride, or 29, 49, 69 or 104-mile routes for this charity bike ride supporting the American Diabetes Association. Starts at Amber Glen Park, Hillsboro.
